Results show an overall increase in muscle depth to an average of +2.48mm more than the average across the Breed in 1998. This puts the average Kelsey ram born this year in the top 10% of the Breed for muscle. CT scanning of the best 8 ram lambs at SAC Edinburgh showed the highest ever proportion of meat in the loin and increased killing out percentages.
